How to Clean Kitchen Cabinets
Grease & dirt build up on your kitchen cabinets may accumulate in time especially if you don’t clean them regularly. Taking off the grease from the kitchen cabinets
First thing you have to do is to prepare warm water and fill it up with dish soap, around 2 tablespoon will do. Dip in the sponge into the mixture and then twist out the excess fluid. Use the sponge to scrub the wood cabinets. After doing this, you have to wipe the cabinets with a clean sponge again and then dry the cabinets using a soft towel or cloth.
If grease is still visible, you can mix half cup of borax with two teaspoon of detergent powder along with a tablespoon of ammonia. Mix this mixture in a spray bottle and add warm water too. Spray the mixture onto the cabinets and leave it there for a while. You have to allow the mixture to sting to the cabinets for more than 15 minutes before you wipe it with a clean cloth.
If there is still visible grease on the cabinet, you can use vinegar and baking soda to take the grease off. All you have to do is to sprinkle the baking soda on a clean and wet cloth, mix equal amount of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray the cabinets with the mixture and then wipe that off using the washcloth with baking soda. You can change the baking soda or add some more if you haven’t seen the result that you wanted.
Bring back the shine on the cabinets
If you want your cabinets to look shiny and pleasant all year round, you have to clean regularly. You can do this by making a solution composed of alkaline cleaner with water. This is best for laminated cabinets, plastic, metal and glass cabinets too. But you have to check the manual for the precise measurements of the cleaning mixture.
Only few drops of mild detergent are required in a pail of warm water. This is for wood cabinets. You can put on the solution using a sponge but the dirty sponge shouldn’t be dipped back to the pail so the water will remain clean especially if you are not yet done in cleaning the cabinets.
